Advocacy
MEMSPA provides a strong and respected voice on state and nationwide issues affecting K-8 schools and principals. Our governmental relations staff vigilantly monitors and researches trends that impact our members’ profession, reputation and practice. We appreciate those principals who are able to travel to Lansing and Washington, D.C., to provide the principal’s perspective.
Our governmental relations efforts and legislative Platform are focused through a statewide, grassroots Legislation Committee. This collaboration enables us to identify and prioritize issues critical to our members, so that we can work smarter on your behalf in Lansing and around the state. Every voice matters, and it’s important for all of us to stay informed and connected. For more information, contact Paul Liabenow at (517) 694-8955 or paul@memspa.org.
